President-elect Donald Trump is set to meet with Republican senators today at 5 p.m. on Capitol Hill, according to sources who spoke to The Pavlovic Today this morning.
This marks Trump’s first meeting at the Senate since the start of the new Congress.
Trump is expected to discuss his domestic policy agenda such as on border security and tax cuts, focusing on what he has described as “one powerful bill.” He will confer with GOP legislators about the proposal during the meeting.
This week in DC, Trump will attend the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, who died this month at the age of 100 after receiving hospice care.
President-elect Trump is expected to visit the Rotunda, where former President Carter is lying in state, his transition team has confirmed this morning.
