Monday, November 18, was another day of limited visibility into Donald Trump’s transition plans. From his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the president-elect kept the White House press at a distance, showing only what he wanted the public to see.
“We did not lay eyes on the president-elect today,” the press pool reported, summing up a day in Palm Beach. Trump’s team provided no answers about his plans for the evening, leaving reporters to piece together details from outside his inner circle.
Even as Trump stayed out of sight, news of his plans surfaced. Sources told NYT that Trump is expected to attend a SpaceX rocket launch in Texas on Tuesday.
The White House press corps has requested access to the Texas trip but has not yet received a response.
