Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez will travel to Serbia from October 9-11 to strengthen U.S.-Serbia cooperation in developing sustainable and diverse critical minerals supply chains. The visit, part of the Minerals Security Partnership Forum, aims to promote trade and economic opportunities with the United States.
While in Belgrade, Fernandez is scheduled to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Finance, and Telecommunications. He will also engage with representatives from both Serbian and U.S. private sectors, including companies focused on critical minerals and energy.
The visit seeks to deepen economic ties and reaffirm U.S. support for cooperation in critical minerals and energy, not only in Serbia but across Europe. The U.S. hopes to foster a strong, mutually beneficial relationship built on shared values and goals.
