It’s Easter Sunday and The Balkan Voice is back. As we celebrate the power of community, we are reminded of the resilience and strength that the Balkan-American community possesses.
First up, foodies and vendors, get ready for the highly anticipated Taste of Chicago food festival. After a year of cancellations due to the pandemic, this year’s event promises to be better than ever. Get ready to indulge in the city’s finest culinary offerings.
And in political news, Chicago has been chosen to host the Democratic Party’s biggest event in 2024, beating out Atlanta and New York City. According to Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison, “our small businesses, our workers are absolutely going to be benefiting front and center.” We can’t wait to see what this event has in store for our city.
We hope that this edition of The Balkan Voice serves as a source of inspiration, reflection, and connection. And we would like to thank all of our contributors, reporters, and editorial team for their hard work in bringing this edition together.
So, grab a cup of coffee, put on your Easter bonnet, and indulge in the latest issue. Happy and healthy Easter, Sunday is made better with The Balkan Voice.
