The White House confirmed today that President Biden convened a meeting this morning with top officials, including Secretary of State Tony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer, Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall, and White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients to discuss updates regarding the situation in Israel.

According to a statement from the White House, President Biden directed his team to follow up on coordination with Israel on all aspects of the crisis and to maintain their collaboration with regional partners to deter any potential exploitation of the situation.

Later this afternoon, President Biden is scheduled to hold discussions with several of the United States’ close allies to address the latest developments in Israel. Further details will be provided as they become available.

As of now, it has been confirmed that a tragic toll of at least nine American citizens has been lost in the ongoing crisis in Israel.
