Talking about Christine Blasey Ford, Trump focused on her inability to remember details of the day of the alleged attack.

POTUS completed his MAGA rally at the Landers Center which was full except for about half of the floor, although a number of people left well before the end.  It is reported to have a capacity of 8,400. It was certainly mostly packed and very enthusiastic.

Pool is now in the motorcade, headed for airport.

Trump’s speech was broadcast, but in case you missed it,a few highlights:

He touched mostly on Democrats trying to stop Kavanaugh and wanting to undo his economic policies. He touted record jobs figures, the border Wall, and military building. He said Democrats would want to bring socialism and “turn America into Venezuela.” This was well received. So was his statement that the media are “very, very dishonest people.”

Talking about Christine Blasey Ford, he focused on her inability to remember details of the day of the alleged attack, like the address and how she got home.

“I had one beer…. How did you get home? I don’t remember. How did you get there? I don’t remember. Where is the place? I don’t remember.“

He said Brett Kavanaugh is ” a perfect human being.”

He repeated his desire for allies to reimburse the costs of the American military presence in their country. Notably mentioned Saudi Arabia, saying he told King Salman “king, we’re protecting you, you might not be there two weeks without us — you have to pay for the military.”

On that theme, his recalling the plan to create a sixth military branch, the Space Force, got huge cheers, but less so than when he mentioned opening the US embassy in Jerusalem.

“For years you watched as your leaders apologized for America. Now you have a president who is standing up for America,” he said to very loud cheers.

The midterms is “a vote to reject the politics of anger, destruction and chaos.”

“This is your time to choose whether we turn back to the failure and frustrations of the past or whether we continue forward into the unlimited promise of our future.”
