President Joe Biden has been briefed on the current situation at the Burning Man festival taking place in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.

White House officials have confirmed that the administration is closely monitoring the situation and is in constant communication with state and local authorities.

“Event attendees should listen to state and local officials, and event organizers,” urged the White House official.

Authorities say about 70,000 people are stranded at the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert as a result of significant rainfall.

The sheriff’s office is investigating a death of an unidentified individual that took place at the festival.
