POTUS and motorcade returned to White House at 1:49 p.m. following the Friends of Ireland lunch at the Capitol.
After lunch, POTUS and House Speaker Pelosi descended the steps of the Capitol, along with the Irish Prime Minister, Vice President Pence and
assorted lawmakers. They stopped briefly, on a glorious blue sky afternoon, before parting ways.
POTUS ignored shouted questions from reporters — about the national emergency vote — but may have been too far away to hear anyway.
