On Tuesday, Obama will be back in the White House to celebrate the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. This will be the first time Obama will visit the White House after leaving office.

THE WHITE HOUSE

This morning shortly after 10 am, Biden will arrive at the White House from Willmington, DE. 

This afternoon, President Biden and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg will deliver remarks on the progress made on the Trucking Action Plan. The initiative’s goal is to improve the supply chain, given that 72 percent of goods in America are transported by trucks. The action plan also includes bringing more veterans and women into the industry.

Maria Rodriguez a trucking apprentice from NFI Industries, will speak to the progress of the expanded Registered Apprenticeship program.

Former Congressman Patrick Murphy (PA) will speak about the newly formed Industry and Veteran Service Organization task force to support Veterans moving into the trucking industry.

According to the White House, “there will be some big trucks at the White House!” today.

Elon Musk has acquired a 9.2% stake in Twitter.

Zelenskyy has accused Russia of committing genocide. He called on Merkel and Sarkozy to come and “see torture with own eyes” in Ukraine. 

Viktor Orban has won his 4th term in Hungary. His party is projected to win 135 of the 199 seats in the Hungarian Parliament. 

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has won his second presidential mandate. In his victory speech, he said that Serbia wouldn’t be expelling Tchiakovsky from opera and Dostoyevski from theater and literature because “none of this makes any sense.”

The Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy (CDP) at the State Department began operations today. The CDP bureau will address the “national security challenges, economic opportunities, and implications for U.S. values associated with cyberspace, digital technologies, and digital policy.”
