Good morning from your FLOTUS pool.
 
Today, First Lady Melania Trump will speak at the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) National Leadership Forum at National Harbor, a four-day leadership program that teaches youth leadership skills to help influence their peers and communities, according to FLOTUS’ office.
 
FLOTUS’ Be Best campaign is designed to highlight programs such as CADCA that empower youth and address the dangers of substance abuse.
 
FLOTUS will make remarks and help hand out awards to CADCA Youth Leadership Initiative Award Recipients.
 
Following that, FLOTUS will participate in a policy briefing at the Office of National Drug Control Policy. She will be briefed on a variety of topics including information on how the opioid issue is affecting our youth and learn about the programs available to assist families – notably young mothers, who have been impacted by drug abuse.
 
Pool did not see FLOTUS at departure.
