Today, advisor to the president Ivanka Trump and Commerce Sec. Wilbur Ross are honoring companies who have kept the administration’s “Pledge To America’s Workers.”

Ivanka opened the ceremony, congratulating the 9 inaugural award recipients and noted how the program is creating new opportunities for women in particular. 
 
“This administration from the earliest days pledged to advance the role of women in STEM fields…”
 
Ross spoke next, noting that the initiative is creating 16.4 million opportunities through new training programs and apprenticeships. 
 
Ross said of the recipients… “They reflect why our country” remains the number one destination in the world for “investments” 
 
“When times become uncertain, some organizations cut back…” but these institutions have “looked forward”
 
The Department of Labor’s Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training John Pallasch then introduced each recipient, each of whom was handed their awards by and took photos with Trump and Ross.
