Good Morning DC. “I hope that our meeting will be productive,” says Vladimir Putin in Geneva.

Good Morning DC!

The much-anticipated meeting between President Biden and President Putin is underway at 18th century Villa La Grange located in a park in Geneva.

President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted each other as they arrived for their meeting.

“I hope that our meeting will be productive,” said Putin.

Swiss President Guy Parmelin wished Presiden Biden and Russian Presiden Putin “a fruitful meeting.”

Judging by the photo opportunity inside the room, the meeting was off to a tense start. Putin did not even want to pretend in front of the cameras that he likes Biden. Not one single smile has been shared between the two leaders. Stone cold, Putin was waiting for the photographers to snap and leave the room.
