Good Morning DC!

It’s August 1, 2021, my favorite month of the year. The CDC says Washington, DC continues to be an area of “substantial” COVID-19 spread. Masks are required indoors at the White House.

Journalists who are not yet fully vaccinated are required to undergo daily testing or display proof of a qualified negative test at their own expense.

Question: Should Americans expect more guidelines coming up, more restrictions because of COVID-19?

“In all probability,” said Biden. “And, by the way,” the President continued, “almost a million people got vaccinated.  About half a million of those people for the first time — for the second shot.  And so, I’m hopeful that people are beginning to realize how essential it is to do.”

Vaccinated with Pfizer, with no side effects other than a sore arm, I feel empowered to live again the life I once knew.

I would take this opportunity to encourage everyone to get vaccinated not because the government tells you what to do, or pardon my French is “blackmailing you” but because you will be protected to enjoy life and all the freedoms we have in democracy, one of them being our own volition to choose what’s good for us, and speaking from my own experience, decision to get vaccinated is a smart choice.
