BREAKING: the Cyber attack on the UK Parliament emails. The system is down.
Earlier this morning, the experts of the UK Parliamentary Digital Service have discovered an unusual evidence of an attempted cyber attack on the UK parliament’s computer network.
Closer investigation confirms that hackers carried out the sustained and determined cyber attacks on all parliamentary user accounts attempting to identify weak passwords. The hackers were specifically trying to gain access to emails of the Members of the Parliament.
The Parliamentary Digital Service is closely working with the National Cyber Security (NCSC) to identify the method of the attack and have made changes to prevent hackers from executing a successful cyber attack.
The investigation continues. At the moment the system is down.
