VP Kamala Harris will visit Highland Park, Illinois. The news came on short notice after the White House said earlier this morning that Harris wouldn’t be visiting Highland Park while in Chicago.
She will be accompanied by Mayor Nancy Rotering, Congressman Brad Schneider, and State Senator Julie Morrison.
During their call this morning, Mayor Rotering invited the Vice President to join her in Highland Park following her speech to the NEA National Assembly.
During the National Education Association (NEA) address in Chicago just miles away from Highland Park, Harris said that “We need to end this horror. We need to stop this violence.”
