Biden was supposed to return to Wilmington today, but we’re hearing that now he’ll head back tomorrow morning.
Good morning from a cold and rainy Rehoboth Beach. I’m your very damp first-time pooler, Elaine Godfrey, a staff writer at The Atlantic. This morning we got the security sweep-and-sniff in a parking lot in the middle of a bunch of sand dunes. We joined the motorcade at 8:56 a.m., en route to church.
Motorcade arrived at St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church at 9:01.

The president-elect left St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church at 9:57, wearing a blue face mask, and quickly got into a car.
The motorcade headed out right after, driving toward the president-elect’s Rehoboth home. The press van broke off from the motorcade at 10:03. Biden will be going to Wilmington tomorrow instead of today.
