I’ve seen Biden’s speech on Afghanistan he delivered from the White House. However President Biden tries to dress up America’s and the West’s humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan as a victory, it he won’t be lost on the enemies of the West, and opponents around the world that this is in fact a humiliating defeat.
Domestically, those who support the American withdrawal, and Biden, will believe him, and those who oppose it, and oppose him will not.
I fear that as events unfold the latter will get more recruits from the mishandling of this crisis. It is an ignominious end to the 20 year western involvement and presence in Afghanistan.
